AIM OF THE
CONFERENCE
The
conference aims to bring together PhD students from Educational Sciences,
especially those who are working in Didactics of different school disciplines.
The conference gives the opportunity to participants for present their wok and
for meeting and networking other PhD students who are working on the same
research issues. Participants also can meet senior researchers who are giving
keynote presentations or co-chair sessions. PhD students also have the
opportunity to chair sessions.
REGISTRATION
PhD students can
present their work in short, 10 minutes long presentations. Besides new
research results you can present an already published research or research in
progress. There are three threads of the conference, English, Romanian, and
Hungarian.

Deadline: 12 November 2023 16 November 2023 for presenters, 19 November 2023 for participants without
presentation.
INVITED SPEAKERS
Éva Bálint-Svella is a preschool teacher in Cluj.
She graduated from Babeș-Bolyai University with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in School
Psychology. Currently she is a PhD student in “Didactics. Tradition,
Development, Innovation” Doctoral School, at Babes-Bolyai University in her
final year of the studies. Her research area is about preschool children’s
algorithmic thinking and its development with educational robots. She has
several publications in this field in scientific journals indexed in
international databases and she presented her research results in several
international conferences. |
Shereen El
Bedewy, PhD graduated from the School of Education at Johannes Kepler
University Linz, Austria. Originally a computer scientist who found her
passion in bridging the gap between education and technology, utilizing
emerging technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, 3D printing
and many others into educational practices. She is interested in
transdisciplinary STEAM education. Currently, she is working on connecting
real-life examples such as architecture to mathematics education while
developing transdisciplinary STEAM practices integrating architecture,
culture and history. |
Daniela
Pahome is a primary
school teacher at the Moreni No. 4 Primary School in Dâmbovița County. She
graduated from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology and Education Sciences at the
Valahia University of Târgoviște, majoring in "Primary and Pre-school
Education Pedagogy" in 2012. In 2018, she obtained a doctorate in
Management from the same university. In 2023, she defended a doctoral thesis
in the field of Educational Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University in
Cluj-Napoca, the Doctoral School "Didactics. Tradition, Development, Innovation".
She has made a significant contribution to the development of education
through the publication of 15 studies in indexed specialized journals. She
has presented papers at national and international scientific conferences.
She has benefited from Erasmus+ training courses for teachers in France,
Italy, Latvia and Spain. She has participated in two national research and
development projects: POSDRU - "Interdisciplinary Excellence in Doctoral
Scientific Research in Romania - EXCELLENTIA", 2015 and POCU -
"InGenius Start-up Xpress!", 2018. In 2023, within the POCU project
"Developing Advanced and Applied Research Competencies in the STEAM+
Health Logic", the author conducted the study "Valuing the Forest
Environment and Digital Applications in the Formation of Representations
about the Deciduous Forest". |

The conference is organized online. Registered presenters and participants will receive an email with further information about the access to the platforms used for the conference. The program draft is given below. The final program will be published after the registration for the presenters ends.
